Bolsa de Mestre - UAlg
No âmbito do projeto "GenomePT", queremos integrar um/a investigador/a com o grau de Mestre, de preferência no domínio de Biologia Computacional, Bioinformática, Ciências Computacionais, Ciências Biológicas, Genética (com experiência significativa em Bioinformática) ou área científica afim.
Deste modo, espera-se que o/a candidato/a ideal tenha conhecimento de mecanismos biológicos e seja um/a biólogo/a computacional proficiente. Preferência será dada a candidatos/as com experiência em biologia computacional, incluindo capacidades programáticas em R, PERL, BASH e outras linguagens. Preferência também será dada a candidatos/as proficientes em sistemas operativos LINUX.
Esta bolsa em treino avançado de Mestre está de acordo com os termos científicos do estatuto do bolseiro (DL 57/2016 com as alterações à lei nº 57/2017 e nº 123/2019, e o Regulamento de bolsas da Universidade do Algarve).

The Cloud Computing Competence Centre (http://c4.ubi.pt/), based at the University of Beira Interior, Covilhã (Portugal), is offering a 24 months fellowship, for a researcher holding a doctoral (1509.80 euros /month) or a master degree (989,70 euros /month), to support R&D activities in the field of health sciences in close collaboration with CICS-UBI (http://www.cics.ubi.pt/). We welcome candidates from the Computer sciences field who have basic knowledge in molecular biology, and candidates from the Biological sciences field who have basic knowledge of bioinformatics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on multi-disciplinary projects involving omics data, including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics. The candidate will be responsible for providing bioinformatics support including data management and analysis of high throughput sequencing data from next-generation sequencing.
