The GenomePT Symposium 2026 is a one-day meeting dedicated to current developments in genomics and genome technologies, bringing together researchers, national infrastructure platforms, clinicians, industry representatives and technology developers working across sequencing, bioinformatics and genomic applications.

The symposium will highlight advances in genome and transcriptome analysis, emerging omics methodologies, and the growing role of genomics in healthcare, biodiversity, environmental sciences and biotechnology. The meeting also aims to promote discussion on innovation, training, data analysis and the development of national genomics capacity and infrastructures in Portugal.

Abstract Guidelines:

Abstracts must present work in the broad field of genome and transcriptome sequencing and analysis within the following themes:
• Human and Clinical Genomics
• Functional Genomics and Gene Regulation
• Biodiversity, Evolution and Environmental Genomics
• Pathogen and Public Health Genomics
• Technologies, Methods and Data Analysis in Genomics

 

Submissions for oral and poster presentations are accepted. All abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Commission. Selected abstracts will be invited for oral presentation; remaining accepted abstracts will be presented as posters.

Abstracts must be submitted using exclusively the online abstract submission form you will find on the website.  Abstract text  must not exceed 500 words, must be written in English and follow the instructions indicated on the abstract submission platform.
