Mission & Vision

GenomePT is the Portuguese national research infrastructure for genome sequencing and analysis, integrated in the National Roadmap of Research Infrastructures.

It connects sequencing platforms and bioinformatics expertise across institutions, enabling coordinated access to genomics technologies and supporting the development of national capacity in this field.

Mission

GenomePT coordinates and develops genomics capabilities in Portugal through an integrated and distributed infrastructure.

It aims to:

  • Coordinate capacities across sequencing and analysis platforms

  • Enable access to genomics technologies and expertise

  • Integrate data and methods across the network

  • Support training in genomics and bioinformatics

  • Engage stakeholders across research, clinical and innovation domains
